An automatic coagulometer is an automated instrument used to analyze blood coagulation. The SF-8050 is suitable for clinical testing and preoperative screening. The device employs coagulation, immunoturbidimetric, and chromogenic methods to determine plasma coagulation parameters. Coagulation measurements are displayed as clotting time (in seconds).

The blood coagulation test principle involves measuring changes in the oscillation amplitude of a ball; a decrease in amplitude corresponds to an increase in the viscosity of the medium. The instrument determines blood clotting time based on the movement of the ball.

The unit comprises a movable sampling probe assembly, a cleaning module, a movable cuvette assembly, a heating and cooling module, a testing module, an operation display unit, and an RS232 interface (for printer connection and data transfer to a computer).
